February 2010 sees the release of Dead Like Harry’s long-awaited album Know The Joy of Good Living. Back in December 2008, finding themselves without the financial backing of a major label, but with an album written, rehearsed and ready to record, Dead Like Harry struck a deal with a difference with Sheffield producer Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys, Reverend and the Makers, Richard Hawley, Pulp). They agreed to put down their instruments for two months and become builders, paying for the album in sweat and blood by helping with the construction and renovation of Alan Smyth’s new 2-Fly Studios.

The recording sessions took place in spring 2009, and were complete in time for the band’s busy summer festival season, which included a slot at Glastonbury Festival’s Queen’s Head Stage – a gig that came courtesy of Q Magazine. The last twelve months have seen the band travel the UK playing over 60 gigs, and receiving national airplay including several slots on BBC Radio 2, as well as selling 5000 copies of their debut EP When We Were 17 – not just in the UK but across Europe and the USA.

Know The Joy of Good Living is released digitally on Monday 15th February 2010 on ‘The Label Records’ and will be available in over 700 online stores. Hard copies of the album will be available exclusively from www.deadlikeharry.co.uk from the same date.
